Most the horses on this page were purchased at the Shipshewana Horse Live Stock Auction with no history to them. Some bought from private seller that were in sad shape. Others foaled here on the farm. The horses have been taken care of, trained to different levels, and some just need to learn to trust humans again. The prices on the horses cover the cost of the horses and its care so that we may continue to help more needy equine friends. Diablo is a 4-year-old unregistered almost 16 hand bay Arabian gelding. He came into the auction house with a group of other sad looking Arabs. When he went through the auction pen we were told he could be registered, but we were unable to contact the seller and get him registered. Diablo only recently started his training so that he could finish his growth spurt. He is currently advance green broke to walk and trot doing well at neckreining and only green broke to canter. Diablo has been back on the trails in the woods and went to fair in August. He is a very friendly affectionate horse following us all over to get pet. He is the low horse in the herd so he tends to get beat up. Diablo is up to date on his shots, worming, coggins, and trimming. Diablo is looking for the right family to give him all the brushing and attention they can give. When finished training he will make some one the ideal mount on the trail or in the ring. $700 obo



Taffy is a 7 year old registered 15 hand sorrel breeding stock paint mare. Taffy’s sire is Painted Point a chestnut overo out of Price Lone Star a quarter horse. Taffy is one sharp looking mare we have used her for breeding with our palomino quarter horse and she has thrown some tall palomino babies. Taffy has been to fair in the past on the trails and on the road. She has a nice head to her and is very smart. Taffy hasn’t been ridden much lately just keeping the stallion company so she will need a refresher course. Taffy was purchased from the auction a few years ago she came with no story or transfer papers be we do have her original registration papers. Taffy is a very strong mare and needs a strong rider to bring her to her full potential. She is not mean but try to see what she can get away with. Taffy would make some one a wonderful show horse or add beauty to a breeding program remember she is bred for the 2006 season includes some tack. SOLD       


Cupcake is a recent addition to the farm. Cupcake is a 6 years old 12 hand bay hackney mare. She came from the kill pens in Shipshewana with no story just a perfect weight correct conformation pony. Cupcake is missing one of her front teeth but it does not bother her one bit. Cupcake is currently learning to trust humans; she has never stuck out, kicked, bit or shown any sign of aggression. Though she is leery of us nothing else seems to bother her. When loading her up to come home it took about 2 mins to load her up and trailered home fine. Cupcake is very calm walking over tarps of water, in the woods, and down the road. She has been saddled, harnessed, and had people on her back. We will continue working with Cupcake on harness particularly since she has a lovely natural high step; she would make a great kids saddle seat mount SOLD
 

Trigger is a half paint half-quarter palomino stud yearling. His sire, Obvious Sun Ray, is out of Its Obvious Mister a palomino qh with great breeding and damn Prides Fancy Peach with breeding going back to Poco Bueno. Trigger has been worked with and around young kids since the day he was born. He is very friendly and follows us all over which makes it very hard to get a good photo of him. Trigger will be a very tall horse he has extremely long legs, longer then both his parents. Although he looks like a mud baby in his photos Trigger is an almost white palomino with high white socks on the back, one on the front, a large blaze and markings on his belly. He will be pending registration with the Half Quarter Horse Registry, the Palomino Horse Association, and the Pinto Horse Association of America. He loads, trailers, leads, bathes, trims, and goes for walks in the woods. Trigger will make someone a very gentle trail horse, show horse, or whatever discipline they choose although I wouldn’t say speed classed would be his thing. SOLD
